5 Tips to Boom Your Nap Time – Become an Expert Power Napper!!

We are always on the move, trying to optimize our lives and sometimes that means missing out on some zzz’s so we don’t miss out on life. The Benefits of a power nap are obvious, especially after taking a great one but here are few benefits: clearer thinking, increase alertness, decrease stress, improve memory, and enhance creativity.

So, if you have 5-15 minutes to spare you need to know the 5 tips to boom your nap time: 

1)Put phone into airplane mode, you want to minimize distractions and provide yourself with real quiet time.

2)Set a timer for the amount of time you have to nap – so you don’t fall into a deep sleep and miss whatever else you have left on your agenda for the day.

3)Get into a comfortable position and MAKE SURE YOUR FEET ARE ELEVATED. Doing this allows your circulatory system to work more efficiently allowing your body to relax even more during your nap.

4)Once the alarm goes off, start moving quickly. JUMP, SHAKE, TWIST, YELL , DO WHATEVER YOU NEED TO DO TO BOOM YOURSELF WITH ENERGY so your drowsiness dissipates. If you don’t start moving your body will want to transition into the slower sleep cycle which would no longer qualify this resting period as a power nap.

5)You don’t need to fall asleep to benefit from a power nap. Keeping your eyes closed and breathing for the the whole time you have set aside will still bring benefits to you and your day.
