(1) The boomstead News:
In preparation of the blizzard on Wednesday Guy drove back out to the property on Tuesday afternoon, boarded up the chicken coop windows and locked the chooks in the coop with water and food for the Bomb cyclone. 18 plus hours of sustain 40 mph winds with gust up to 60+ WTF? Hopefully the bees made it through this insane shit as well, but only time will tell. You are not suppose to open up a bee hive when temperature is less than 55 degrees. More on Bee Keeping: Some of our very best friends mentioned they wanted to add a hive into their backyard, where they already have peach trees and a mini kitchen garden and of course I stepped up to help. We order our bees from dakotabess.com they are shipped in from Cali and this location offers $35 bee keeping classes for us novices. We are very excited to bring pollinators to Denver! We are driving out there this Friday am to get the chooks some fresh water and see how the chickens faired. They are tough ol birds, and maybe some one might call us cruel but I was not going to risk my life for 10 chickens during the bomb cyclone. Highway 86 was closed yesterday and Elbert county was not scheduled to be plowed thursday so Friday am seems to be the best bet for us to see what went down. Pictures to come.

Side note: Guy and I waited almost a year to order Force of Nature back in 2017, I don’t know why we waited. The signs are there, Go read your label on your cleaner right now and if their is 3 or more which I bet there is something is up. Use the Force of Nature as soon as possible and you will appreciate you did.
