Traveling tips and tricks to save big on your upcoming vacation this year

5 Travel Tips to Boom Your Vacation – plan, save, and enjoy vacation for once!

We are on a badass trip this week and away from the boomstead for our 5 year anniversary; here are 5 things we did to boom our vacation:

(1) Plan and book your trip and Flight a year before destination date with your credit card and Use credit cart points/the travel eraser button as points build before trip to help pay for some of the flight/hotel/car and make sure you use a flight comparison websites like expedia, orbitz, kayak, etc so you get the most bang for your buck!

(2) Use Airbnb instead of a hotel. Just another great way to get the most out of your stay in terms of pricing, location, and home away from home type feel. We have used airbnb at least a dozen times, but this is our first time using it internationally. Check out our Take 5 blog post this Friday and we will let you know how it went!!

(3) Pay for flight and “Hotel” up front asap. Just like a mentioned above paying for stuff as soon as you can will help you enjoy the trip and have some money saved up for when the trip comes for food and other travel purchases.

(4)Book your trip where you only need airport transportation to the city you are staying in.

A great way to save money traveling is not renting a car and using uber, lyft or airport shuttle to your city location desire. Also check in to bike rentals where ever you are staying or walking is a way better way to explore the city you are visiting!!

(5) Pack light & share a suitcase with your significant other.  Layer your outfits and find a cool jacket that will go with everything, and remember to pack a laundry bag it makes it super easy to do laundry when you get back, helps you keep all your dirty stuff in one spot while you are on vacation and separated from your clean stuff for you travel home, which you shouldn’t have if you packed correctly.
